Andy Thomson BSc FFA

Andy Thomson has a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Glasgow University and became a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries in 1999. He previously worked in a variety of actuarial and business development roles at Scottish Amicable and Prudential before establishing the Glasgow office of Hazell Carr Pensions Consulting in July 2002. After a management buy-out and a period of association with the Punter Southall Group, Andy continues to be one of the two owner-partners of TDC LLP.
Andy has a practicing Scheme Actuary certificate and also provides consultancy advice to clients on a broad range of issues, including advice on scheme funding and the impact on pension schemes of mergers and acquisitions. He is a regular speaker at technical seminars and trustee training events.
